Research at CEAL

Several R&D&I lines are developed at CEAL. All of them are related to industrial optimization, logistics and supply chain management, and business intelligence for logistic domains. Several projects on each line are currently being carried out, and some of them may be associated to more than one research line.

Intelligent Logistics and Production Systems

This research line is focused on the development of technologies based on Artificial Intelligence and Operations Research, for solving industrial optimization problems such as Production Planning & Scheduling, Computer Aided Process Planning and Collaborative Optimization. Supply Chain Management (SCM) and Logistics

This research line is focused on the development models and methodologies for supply chain design, composition and optimization. This line includes topics on performance measurement on different industries, collaboration within supply chains, reverse logistics and lean supply chains, among others.   See projects within this research line

Business Intelligence for Logistics

The main focus of this line is to apply Business Intelligence technologies such as Data Warehousing and Data Mining, for supporting decision making processes within Logistics and Supply Chain Management (SCM) domains.   See projects within this research line
